Not for the first time I had breakfast at a nearby bar. The day turned out to be cloudy and cooler, something I liked. The SI mostly followed quiet minor roads. For lunch I stopped at a fountain in Villaggio Moleti. Except for the fountain there was nothing available here. During the day I passed several timey by picnic sites. Highlight was a goat herd which was guarded by dogs only. In early afternoon I arrived at Rifugio Piani di Zervo. I expected it to be closed as most regugios had been. What a surprise, it was open. It is in one of the buildings of a former tuberculosis sanatorium. Most of the place is in decline but one has been renovated. I was the only one here and decided to stay for the night. The host was a young couple from the county of Georgia. I had a great dinner with starter and spaghetti.
