The night was interrupted by deer and hog visits. They did not bother only made some noise. The day turned out to be a nice and easy hiking day. It was slightly hazy and very warm. We met noone all day and had a quiet day. At Col de Doulant we had our lunch at a nice picnic table. Sofar it had been uphill. Now it went down in the forest until we arrived in the community of Larcat. From here on it became hot again. Finally we arrived at Les Cabannes. At the market square we passed by a restaurant unter shading trees. It was too early. We walked across the river to Verdun where we had a room for the night. The room jad airconditioning and nice shower. Back at the restaurant we had spare ribs with chips. That was a nice and filling meal.
