VId.2    Section Lagonegro - Tenuta del Cavaliere   49 km

The day started sunny. I had a long sunny ascent ahead of me. Soon the first clouds started moving in. I had decided to follow the road that runs paralel of the trail across the mountains. With more and more clouds coming in it turned out to be a good decision. The mountain tops disappeared in the clouds. While having my lunch break by the road rain set in. I was glead I had my umbrella. Later I passed by a sheep herd that was watched by sheep dogs only. Towards evening I passed by Agriturismo Antica Tenuta del Cavaliere in Fontana d'Eboli and inquired wether they had a room for the night. I was the only guest for the night and had a very extensive dinner. It was almost too much.
