VId.3    Section Tenuta del Cavaliere - Castelsaraceno   29 km

When arriving at the restaurant for breakfast I was surprised by the decoration that had been set up for a big party for 50 guests. In differentiation to last nights dinner the breakfast was rather limited. I started out under a blue sky. After a while I arrived at hotel Vecchio Ponte (old bridge) where I stopped for an ice cream. As had happened many days more and more clouds moved in. For lunch I stopped below Mountain Monte Capolavelio. Sitting in the sun I had bread with ham and cheese and cool water.

Than I moved on. By the gravel road I passed by a large cattle herd. Arriving at the cemetary from Castelsaraceno I choose the short road instead of the longer trail across the top of Monte Castel Veglio (1152m) to arrive in Castelsaraceno. Here I passed by a cattle herd that was slowly walking up the road to green pasture. I had to sit by the road so that the cattle mooved on. In town I had booked a room at a B&B and staid at a nice apartment. No sooner I had arrived it started raining heavily for a while. Lucky me. The host provided plenty of food.
